Anonymous FTP

What is anonymous ftp?

Anonymous ftp is the ability to download files from your servers without having a login username and password. For security reasons, we only allow anonymous ftp to specific directories.

How does someone download anonymously of your site?

First, you must submit a request to activate Anonymous FTP feature under your virtual domain.

After anonymous ftp is set up, we will create a directory called anonftp in the user's home directory. This directory will by default contain the following directories:

/bin
/dev
/etc
/lib
/pub

The only directory that is used is the 'pub' directory. This directory is where you should put files that you want to have users anonymously download. Your users can access this directory via a browser by going to:

ftp://domainname/pub
